KC90 · LIQUID-APPLIED PEELABLE PROTECTION

Paint it on.
Build the boat.
Peel it off.

Kel-Coat 90 was designed for the marine industry. It protects gelcoat, glass, and finished metal fresh from mold to delivery day — then peels away in sheets, leaving the finish exactly as it left the mold.

WATER-BASED · <50 g/L VOC · BRUSH, ROLL, OR SPRAY · PEELS OFF CLEAN

FIRST PRODUCTION BATCH — FORT PIERCE, FL

Every scratch happens between
the mold and the customer.

A fiberglass part is never more vulnerable than it is in a production environment. Rigging tools, chemicals, dirty shoes, loose screws, forklifts — hundreds of hands touch a boat before its owner ever does. Paper and tape can't cover a compound curve, tears easily, leaves residue, and takes forever to lay down. Shrink wrap can't protect a boat anyone's still working on.

Three steps. No tape.

STEP 01

Apply

Brush, roll, or spray KC90 straight onto finished surfaces. It flows over compound curves, radiused edges, and even non-skid — and the green film shows exactly what's covered.

STEP 02

Build & ship

Rig, grind, transport, store, and display right over the film. Nicked it during outfitting? Recoat the spot — fresh coating welds into the existing film and protection continues.

STEP 03

Peel

On delivery day, pull the film off in sheets. No adhesive, no residue, no surprises under the wrap — the finish reveals exactly as it left the mold.

APPLICATION THROUGH THE BUILD CLEAN PEEL

Built for production lines —
because it runs on one.

KC90 goes on the boats we build at Bluewater Sportfishing Boats from the moment they leave the mold, stays on while we assemble them, rides through sea trials, and doesn't come off until the final wash before they leave the shop. Volume programs start at five pails, with tiered pricing, standing-order scheduling, and drop-ship straight from the plant.

Built by a boatbuilder.

After paying for one too many gelcoat repairs on boats that were perfect when they left the mold, we developed KC90 with a chemist and put it to work on our own production line first. KC90 goes on the boats we build at Bluewater Sportfishing Boats from the moment they leave the mold, stays on while we assemble them, rides through sea trials, and doesn't come off until the final wash before they leave the shop. Kel-Coat is the product we needed and couldn't buy — now every builder, dealer, transporter, and yard can have it.
